Annual work conference 2014 of the botanical gardens work committee of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) was held in Shenyang on September 15-16. An academic forum was concurrently held. Prof. Chen Jin, Prof. Hu Huabin, together with directors or vice directors of other 12 CAS botanical gardens, attended the meeting. 21 researchers from 13 botanical gardens presented their research progress at the academic forum.

　　Prof. Hu Huabin, secretary general of the CAS Botanical Gardens Work Committee, made work report 2014 of the committee. The attendees discussed work plan in 2015. Directors of the 13 member gardens respectively made work summary over the past year.

　　Recommended by their respective directors, 21 researchers made presentations at the academic forum, which covered such topics as phylogenetic analysis, global change, plant introduction and resource utilization, plant physioecology, and biodiversity conservation, etc.

　　Prof. Chen Jin, chairman of CAS Botanical Gardens Work Committee and chairman of CUBG, was present at the meeting and showed high recognition of research capacity in CAS botanical gardens.
